We think Chipping Norton is a wonderful
place to live or work in, or just to visit. And we believe it’s worth
protecting and improving. One way you can help
protect what is good and promote what is better is by joining the
Chipping Norton Society. We are a group formed in 1998 to support all
that is best about Chipping Norton and to promote a positive image of
the town. |

We started way back in
Feb 2003.and set a target figure of £40,000 plus, so that we could
get some play equipment on the playing field in Cornish Road.
With a lot of very hard work from a dedicated few,
we have achieved the sum of £ 30,600. by having Cake stalls ,
bingo , disco, table top sales and a funday for the children , also with
donations from one or two firms in and around the town.
We have a grant of £17,200 from W.O.D.C. and a grant from T.O.E.
of £10,000. The backing of our town council has helped,
also donations from the retired town MAYOR. Our sincere thanks go
to all who have helped us. We must remember
that its for the Children from Cornish, Hailey
,and Edward Stone Estates. Dont forget its
your children, grand children and Great grand
children who will benefit. LET us all do some
thing for them. Keep them safe from speeding
traffic. We meet
often at Churchill House and all residents and Tenants are welcome

Chipping Norton & District Twinning
Association began in 1975 and since then has
developed a warm relationship with members attached to its
twin town of Magny-en-Vexin.
It has an executive committee elected each year
at the Annual General Meeting. Members are drawn from those who live,
work or have a connection with the town or district The Association
provides a framework to organise travel, correspondence and other links
between here and Magny-en-Vexin.
