The White Hart The Chipping Norton Historical
Research Group This group was formed in March 2002 following an adult
education class in local history. The aim of the group is to
transcribe all the surviving probate documents (wills and
inventories) for the Chipping Norton area, in order to make
them more accessible to local people. Our transcripts will be deposited locally and we intend to
publish booklets and put on exhibitions about the history and
