TOWN COUNCIL ELECTIONS 2007

JOHN OSMOND

John is a "High Flyer" - Not in the conventional meaning but as a self-employed, ex Navy man who served for 15 years in the R.N. including a spell in the Falklands. He is now back in his core area of helicopters, running his own business and helping the Police authorities (and others) in achieving their aviation needs.

John is used to dealing with financial affairs and seeing that costs don't exceed laid down budgets. This experience will prove invaluable in helping to ensure that our Town Council's financial targets are not exceeded. In other words, your money will be in safe hands with John in the team.

He came with his wife Rosemary (and two Jack Russell's) to Chipping Norton nearly six years ago. His interest in local issues started when he launched a campaign to keep a local footpath open to provide access for mothers and children to walk to school. He has also taken a positive role in some recent planning issues and would now like to be of service on the Town Council.

John will not be opposing "for opposition's sake." Rather, he will do his utmost to try and resolve issues that could divide and upset progress. His background will certainly enable him to be a very valuable asset to the Council
