We are a group of Chippy business people standing as candidates for the Town Council because we believe we can help. We know the Town Council can't actually DECIDE much these days. But in a small town you have to decide what you really care about, prepare a financial case, get broad community and business backing and then sell your ideas hard, enthusiastically and professionally to the District and County Councils or other agencies. That’s the kind of thing we all have some experience with. We think we can contribute.
Please give us a chance on May 1st.

WHAT WE CARE MOST ABOUT
n Developing the closest possible ties between local business and the community n Encouraging self-help first (rather than immediately asking for handouts) n Ensuring that the present choice of shops and services is maintained n Encouraging local job creation n Suggesting ways of reducing the traffic chaos n Urgently developing facilities for young people both publicly and privately funded n Developing and enforcing sensible parking policies including residents permits n Getting Broadband for Chippy n Making the town as attractive as possible n Fighting to retain local services - like ambulances, hospital, retirement homes n Making better use of existing facilities - like the Town Hall & Guildhall n Ensuring that inevitable residential development maintains a proper balance
