Interested in your
family of years gone by?
Then why not consider joining
your local group who study world wide families in addition to our local
area. We meet at The Fox Hotel in Chipping Norton on the second
Wednesday of each month at 7pm March until November.
Members of the group range from
beginners to expert family historians plus three Professional Genealogists,
Being a member you have access to our Archives, Library and Specialist
equipment for use at home or Record Depository. As many as 240 million
records are available to use at any one time. Our programme covers both
study nights together with visiting guest speakers who provide the group
with talks on specialised subjects. Members are kept up to date with news
and events going on World Wide by an Internet newsletter.
As a local organisation we do however support events
and hold fund raising days within Oxfordshire as part of our programme.
Members always come forward to help at these events on a regular basis. The
group is also very well known for it's efforts in helping with
local family history projects such as Cemetery
Records and Churchyard Surveys,
Our season runs from March until
November with a subscription of just
£12-00.
(Family £17) Visitors are most welcome at the rate of £2 -50 per meeting.

FAMILY HISTORY DAY AT THE ACE CENTRE
Members of the Family History Group of Chipping Norton
welcome everyone to experience what research is possible these days on the
net, and to introduce their own software resources which are available -
along with support and encouragement - to townspeople tracing their family
histories.
